Valentine’s Day is just a few days away, and if you’re anything like me, you’r probably frantically searching for cute Valentines ideas to surprise your loved ones with.

Food is one of my love languages, and it’s also one of the ways that I love to show love.

Extra points if the food is presented in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Today, I’ll share the Valentines themed brunch board that I recently created for my family. You can use this as inspiration to create a Valentine’s Day brunch board that your loved ones will also enjoy.

The Joy of Snack Boards

As someone who loves to spread joy through thoughtful gestures, I’ve found that crafting snack boards has become my go-to expression of love for family and friends.

They are easy to create, fun and super cute. I whip one out any opportunity I can.

Whether you are creating a snack board for a movie night, a gathering or special occasion like Valentine’s Day, a well-crafted board instantly elevates the atmosphere.

It’s not just about the food. It’s really about curating an experience.

Here’s how I made my Valentine’s Day brunch board for my family.

Brunch Board Supplies

Charcuterie Board

To start off with, you’re going to need something to lay your food on. While you can use a white tray or a plate, I feel that the brunch board really starts to come alive when you use a charcuterie board.

There’s plenty to choose from. Just make sure that you use something with slightly raised edges. That way the food doesn’t roll off the side of the board.

Heart Shaped Waffle Maker

The star of the show were my heart shaped waffles.

My kids absolutely loved them, and I couldn’t get over how cute they looked.

I used this mini waffle maker to make these.

This waffle maker was very inexpensive, and easy to use.

Just pour your waffle mixture in (making sure that you don’t over fill it), close and wait 60 seconds.

The waffle iron heats up really fast and the waffle falls right off the iron when fully cooked.

Your Favourite Brunch Board Toppings

There are so many options to choose from when it comes to toppings for your brunch board.

I chose to include fruits that I know my kids would love, as well as other breakfast foods such as bacon.

I went with our family favourites, but you can choose to include whatever you like.

Extra points if you include other foods that are pink, red or white to fit with the Valentines Day theme.

Here’s a list of what to include in your Valentine’s Day Brunch Board to get you started.
