And then theres the issue of time.
With only 24 hours in a day, you’re expected to fit in everything from diaper changes to work deadlines. It’s like playing a never-ending game of Tetris with your schedule.
The constant juggling act can leave you feeling exhausted, stressed, and struggling to find time for yourself.
The Ripple Effect
When mom is overwhelmed, it’s like a ripple effect that can reach every corner of the household.
Of course, we can acknowledge that overwhelm causes your own well-being to suffer. This, in turn, affects your relationships with your partner and children.
When you’re constantly overwhelmed and stressed, it becomes challenging to give your loved ones the attention and care they deserve.
Your productivity may also suffer, leading to added stress and potential setbacks in your professional life.
And let’s not forget the little ones who are watching your every move. If they constantly witness mom being overwhelmed and stressed, it can impact how they perceive and handle stress in their own lives.

I know that you’re already running on limited sleep, so this may not be what you want to hear. The tough reality is that in order to properly manage your time as a working mom, you should start your day earlier than your kids.
Use your early morning wisely and create a morning routine that sets the tone for the rest of the day.
Even an extra 30 minutes is enough to practice mindfulness. You could spend some time in prayer, meditation, reading a book, reading the bible. Carving out time to start your day with slowness can improve your focus, mood and lead to less stressful day.
If you have an hour, you can probably knock out a load of laundry or do some work without any distractions.

If you have the budget, you can also hire and outsource some of the household tasks that bog you down. Common household tasks that you can outsource are:

If there’s a task that takes up a lot of your time and you don’t like doing it, you’ll probably be able to find someone to outsource it to.
Before you rule hiring out entirely, do your research to find these services in your area. You may be surprised that they don’t cost as much as you had in mind.
